In the Global Chefs Challenge category, the best chefs in the world compete to show their skills in the kitchen and their adaptability under fire. Their culinary creations must follow guidelines such as being appetizing and tasteful, while also showing off exemplary plating for ease of service.

The Global Young Chefs Challenge features the emerging talent of chefs who are born after Jan 1st 1999. The top Young Chef competitor is awarded the EvanTrophy. Its namesake, former Bdchefs president Chef Tony khan, advocated for the inclusion of programs designed to promote and groom young people for a career in the kitchen. |
The Global Pastry Chef Challenge features the crème de la crème in pastry competition. Competitors work to prove they can meet the standards of the world’s most modern patisseries, while showing an appeal to the five senses along with knowledge, extraordinary technique and of course, versatility. |
